Gateway DC-T50
The new Gateway DC-T50 is the top model in Gateway's recently announced line of digital cameras. Aggressively priced at $399.99 (direct), the 5-megapixel, 3X zoom lens DC-T50 is one of the lowest-priced 5-megapixel cameras on the market. Gateway hopes that the low price will power its entry into the crowded digital camera market, and it may also convince shoppers to overlook a few shortcomings.
The DC-T50's metal body looks and feels solid. It comes with a lithium ion battery and charger, a case, a strap, and a 32MB SD memory card. The charger socket and USB cable socket are conveniently located on the side of the camera, but both sockets are open to dust and moisture. The control layout is fairly conventional, with a large mode dial on the top of the camera.
